What type of person comes to your mind when you think about a “Real Hero”?

To me, a real hero is someone who cares for others as much as they car efor themselves, never puts someone down, turns somebody’s life around, or says “hello” to somebody on the street they’ve never met, but think they could use a nice hello. A real hero isn’t all about themselves. They think of other people before themselves and they never try to hurt somebody’s feelings, like a lot of people we know today. They could help someone overcome an obstacle in their life that can actually wind up turning that person’s life around for the better. One person I know who is like this is my sister Kristina. She is very nice and always thinks of other people before herself. She never made fun of anybody, even as a 13 or 14 year old girl. I know you don’t want to admit it, but we have all made fun of somebody at least once in our lives, and we have all been made fun of. We don’t like how it feels. My sister had and will always have a kind heart. I remember when she went to Moran there was a girl that everybody picked on, but my sister was nice to. She didn’t have a lot of money, and she didn’t wear the “coolest” clothes. This was in 6th grade. One day my sister’s class was assigned to do a report. Kristina chose to write about this girl and how everybody picked on her, but she was always nice and understood her struggle. Kristina handed in her paper and received an A+ on it. It was well-deserved because she did something incredible for that girl. Not only was she nice to her when everybody else was putting her down, but she understood how she felt and wrote about it and this made that girl feel especially important. I admit that at times I can make fun of people and put them down, but after hearing this from my sister I decided to start to be nicer to the people everybody picks on and not let the people who pick on me affect how I feel. In conclusion, Kristina is and will always be my number one idol and I look up to her in so many ways. I hope that a lot of other people can relate to this. She is a real hero.
